Oh my, how time flies! The 2016 beach volleyball season in West Michigan has come and gone, and while I made it to the beach to play quite a bit, it never feels like enough 😉
While the younger players around might look at the off-season as a time to sharpen their skills and be in the best shape possible when the 2017 season approaches, the more recreational players like myself are probably just sitting on the couch lamenting the frigid Michigan winters (although this one hasn’t been as frigid as many!).
But when you have a moment, reflect on the wonderful volleyball opportunities that exist all year round. From leagues through NORA to pick-up volleyball at Inside Out in Muskegon, to the women’s league in Holland, to tournaments all over the area … there are opportunities everywhere to be on the court or in the sand. There are already schedules for the 2017 season popping up: Carpe Diem, MPVA … and you’re always welcome to reach out to me to find opportunities if you can’t find them on your own: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay warm and play on!
