Family-friendly Beach Volleyball
Introducing beach volleyball to the next generation of players is up to each of us who enjoys the game. So Sunday nights are dedicated to families with children who are ready to start playing volleyball. For fun … together …
Sunday nights at Grand Haven State Park, families arrive between 5 and 6 p.m. and bring their own picnic dinner (or pizza, or subs, or whatever is easiest!). It is an informal get-together with moms, dads and kids all coming together to enjoy the incredible surroundings and play beach volleyball together. Co-ed twos and fours is played as well as drills for the kids who aren’t ready for games yet. Local players and coaches are frequently present to help teach fundamentals to children of all ages.
Each week there will be a host family to help navigate things for any newcomers. The host families will help set up volleyball related activities.
A limited number of balls and sets of lines will be available (so bring a ball or lines if you have them).
